Mental Illness Awareness Week - February Update

MIAW News - February 2010

Welcome to MIAW 2010!
Mental Illness Awareness Week is October 3-9.

We're getting ready to make this the best MIAW yet! A new year is upon us, and planning for MIAW 2010 has already begun. This year, MIAW will take place from October 3 to 9, 2010.

Nominate a Face
New Faces, New Stories

Starting today, we are accepting nominations for this year's Faces of Mental Illness. The Faces are the heart of the MIAW campaign. They are ordinary Canadians, of all ages and creeds, who are willing to share their stories about living with a mental illness with Canadians from coast to coast to coast. Do you have a story you're willing to share with Canada? Do you know someone who embodies the message “Recovery is Possible”?

Find more information online at
www.miaw.ca/en/campaign/nominate.aspx

Nominations are open until March 7.

Your Support Counts
Help Improve MIAW!

Your support and contributions to MIAW remain vital to our success. MIAW runs exclusively on the support we receive from our sponsors, donors and volunteers. Through your donations, MIAW is able to continue to raise awareness about the prevalence of mental illness in Canada, help Canadians talk about their experiences with mental illness, and share their stories of recovery.

MIAW welcomes all forms of donations. Find more information on how to help at www.miaw.ca/en/involved/contribute.aspx

Sponsors of MIAW benefit from showing their support. MIAW is an integrated national campaign, touching the lives of millions of Canadians each year. Email sponsorship@miaw.ca for more information about sponsorship opportunities and benefits.
